Choreographer Submission

The Spectrum Dance Invitational (Summer Edition) celebrates the richness of movement, culture, and creativity through an evening of high-caliber, multi-genre dance. This one-night-only event will take place Friday, June 5th at Spectrum Dance Center’s Studio Theater, the cultural performance hub of South County.

We invite choreographers to submit original works that reflect strong artistic intention, refined technique, and a spirit of collaboration.

    • Event Includes:

      • Master Class led by one of the evening’s featured choreographers

      • Tech rehearsal, performance, and post-show Choreographer Q&A

      • Performance feedback

      • $50 choreographer’s stipend & People’s Choice Award

    • Participation:
      All dancers must be present for tech, performance, and final bow. Participation in the master class is encouraged but not required.

    • Deadline: Friday, April 17th (11:59PM)

    • Submission Fee: $30 (non-refundable)

    • Works should be high-quality but do not have to be “show ready” for the submission.

    • All styles of dance are welcome — contemporary, classical, cultural, and beyond.
