YOUTH PROGRAM LEVELS

Divisions by Design

  • Ages 5-7yrs (3 hours dance per week)

    This level is designed for dancers ages 5-8years who have graduated from or are either currently in our Primary Creative Dance program. Division 1 includes a second day of dancing where our students continue to work on precision in placement and alignment while slowly being introduced to more complicated steps and other dance styles including lyrical & hip hop!

  • Ages 7-11yrs (5 hours dance per week)

    This level is designed for dancers ages 7-11 who have graduated with a solid understanding of placement, alignment, and ballet terminology, Division 2 dancers are now moving at a more intermediate pace. Division 2 dancers start to practice more steps and begin working on combinations while still focusing on technique and the basic fundamentals. A minimum of 1 year of recent ballet technique training is a prerequisite for Division 2 students.

  • 10-13yrs (12.5 hours per week)

    Division 3 is designed for students with a strong understanding of ballet technique, alignment, terminology, and are ready to take the next step in their dance journey. More complex choreography is given along with community performance opportunities and potential invitations to have our dance educators set variations or choreography on students who are of age and have met all strength and other requirements may be promoted to pointe in the Division 4 level.

  • 13yrs & up (15 hours per week)
